DAY 1: Cuiabá – Pantanal – Porto Jofre

Arrival at Cuiabá Mato Grosso airport. You will be welcomed by our staff and transferred to the city of Poconé in a trip that will last 1:30 minutes (100 km), then we will continue our trip on the Transpantaneira highway on a paved road. During the trip stops will be scheduled so that you can photograph the animals during the trip here we can see animals such as: capybaras, caimans, savannah hawks, jabiru storks, anteaters, deer, guara wolf, marsh cat, peccaries, monkeys, anacondas, lizards, armadillos, coaties, turtles, reptiles, Tapirs, ostriches, macaws, parrots, toucans, eagles, and many species of birds that will keep you fascinated.
Arrival at the lodge in Porto Jofre.

DAY 2,3,4,5:  Porto Jofre – Jaguarland – Porto Jofre

Photo tour boat safaris, 4 days of immersion dedicated to look for jaguars in different places to see their behaviors. The safari starts at 7:00 am until sunset. All day searching for jaguars and lots of wildlife. Our lodge in Porto Jofre here we will have lunch, in the afternoon we will leave for the Encuentro de las Aguas State Park, home of the largest concentration of jaguars on the planet, that is why it is known as Jaguarland. This is a very valuable region, where you will see promising areas for jaguar observation, such as the Cuiabá River, the Três Irmãos River and the Piquiri River. In this area, you will be able to film and photograph wild jaguars in speedboats. You may even experience a jaguar hunting a caiman or a pair of jaguars mating on the riverbank. And if you are lucky, you may even see a jaguar with its young. Without a doubt, you will witness unique images that will leave you with lifelong memories in Jaguarland itself.

DAY 6: Porto Jofre – Pantanal – Pousada Pouso Alegre Lodge

After breakfast, we will leave by the Transpantaneira road to the other lodge making stops along the way, looking for more wild animals, after lunch we will do a wildlife safari inside the lodge’s territory, after dinner we will have a night safari.

DAY 7: Pousada Pouso Alegre Lodge

At Pousada Pouso Alegre, located in the Northern Pantanal, which has more than 8,000 hectares, you will be able to observe a wide variety of fauna due to its privileged environment. Some of the animals you can spot include:

Mammals:
  • Tapir (Anta): The largest land mammal in South America.
  • Capybaras: The largest rodents in the world, often seen in groups.
  • Giant anteater: An emblematic inhabitant found in open areas.
  • Swamp deer: An endemic deer of the Pantanal.
  • Howler and capuchin monkeys: Frequently sighted in nearby trees.
Reptiles:
  • Caimans: Abundant in bodies of water, especially the caiman yacare.
  • Anacondas: Although more difficult to see, they inhabit aquatic areas.
Birds:
  • Tuiuiú (Jabirú): Bird, symbol of the Pantanal, recognized for its large size and black beak.
  • Blue and red macaws: Colorful and emblematic species of the region.
  • Toucans: Seen in the trees near the lodge.
  • Eagles: Like the osprey, common in the area.
  • Herons and kingfishers: Common in rivers and lagoons.
  • Peccaries and armadillos: Frequently seen around the lodge.
    The lodge also offers safaris and hikes that maximize the chances of spotting this incredible wildlife in its natural habitat.

DAY 8: Pousada Pouso Alegre Lodge – Pantanal – Cuiabá.

After breakfast, you will start your way back to Cuiabá. The trip will offer you the last images of the Pantanal and some beautiful animal sightings along the Transpantaneira road.
Lunch at a lodge en route. Return to the airport or your hotel in Cuiabá.
