Sport Fishing in Tambopata Amazon 3 days

Upon arrival in the city of Puerto Maldonado, in the department of Madre de Dios, our team will welcome you at the Padre Aldamiz Airport or the bus terminal. From there, we’ll begin our journey into the jungle.

First, we’ll board a boat to navigate along the Tambopata River on a ride of approximately 45 minutes. Along the way, we’ll enjoy the beautiful Amazonian vegetation and, with some luck, spot animals such as birds and monkeys in the treetops.

As soon as the boat trip begins, we’ll start our fishing adventure. Throughout the day, we’ll make several stops at various strategic locations, including streams and lagoons where fish tend to be more active. Here we’ll have the chance to catch species such as peacock bass or catfish, using different techniques depending on the environment.

But the adventure doesn’t end when the sun goes down. We’ll also enjoy a night fishing session, a unique experience where we’ll try to catch species that are more active after sunset.

At the end of the day, we’ll arrive at Lorenzo Lodge, a cozy jungle lodge where we’ll enjoy a hearty dinner before resting in comfortable cabins.

The second day of our adventure in the Amazon jungle will be fully dedicated to sport fishing. From early morning until dusk, we’ll explore different areas of the Tambopata River, in search of a wide variety of fish species.

The day will begin with a nutritious breakfast, prepared with fresh ingredients from the Amazon jungle itself. This breakfast will provide us with the energy needed to tackle a day full of excitement and challenges.

Once ready, we’ll board the boat again to explore the Tambopata River and its tributaries, where we’ll make several strategic stops. We’ll visit areas with gentle currents, deep waters, and regions with aquatic vegetation, each with its own ecosystem and fish species.

Throughout the day, we’ll have the opportunity to fish for a wide variety of species, both large and small. Some of the most common species in the area include sungaro, donzela, yellow piraíba, mota, and lisa. Each fish has its own behavior and capture technique, making each fishing moment a unique and exciting experience.

At noon, we’ll return to Lorenzo Lodge for lunch and a short rest before continuing with the activity. After lunch, we’ll resume fishing at new spots along the river, where we’ll have more opportunities to catch different species.

In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy the Amazon landscape and the tranquility of the river. While fishing, it’s common to see exotic birds, vibrantly colored butterflies, and, with luck, some monkeys moving between the trees.

At the end of the day, we’ll return to the lodge for a hot dinner and share our experiences from the day. Then, we’ll rest in our comfortable cabins, surrounded by the nocturnal sounds of the jungle.

The last day of our adventure in the jungle will begin with a nutritious breakfast, prepared with fresh local ingredients. This breakfast will give us the energy we need for the final day of fishing, where we’ll continue exploring the rivers and looking for more fascinating species.

Just like the previous days, we’ll embark on the boat for another day of sport fishing. We’ll spend the day at different spots along the Tambopata River and its tributaries, where a variety of fish species inhabit the Amazon region. Throughout the day, our fishing will be varied and exciting, as we explore different techniques and spots in search of the best fish.

During this journey, you’ll have the opportunity to catch a wide variety of Amazonian species, each with its own characteristics and challenges to catch.

• Sungaro (Tigrinus Brachyplatystoma), a large and strong fish.

In the afternoon, we’ll return to Lorenzo Lodge for one last lunch together. After the meal, we’ll start our return to the city of Puerto Maldonado. During the trip, we’ll reflect on everything we’ve experienced, sharing the best fishing and exploration stories. We’ll arrive in Puerto Maldonado in the afternoon, where our service will end, and we’ll take you to the airport or bus terminal for your return home.
